Upcoming Play Performance
Our class will be performing two plays for parents and other Dual Immersion classes on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. in the East Gym of the school. Students are working on perfecting their lines and props and backdrops for the play. If your child brings his/her lines home, please support them by helping them memorize their lines.
Math Practice
Students are finishing up their Multiplication instruction and are begining to make connections between division and multiplication. Look for a Chapter 6 Letter Home for activities to help support your child with the division concept. Also, please support your child as he/she memorizes the multiplication table. This will greatly help them as they continue to use the multiplication facts throughout third grade and into the upper grades.
Spanish Phonics/Grammar
Students are working on identifying dipthongs and tripthongs in Spanish phonics. They have also been identifying masculine and feminine nouns.
English Science/Language Arts Unit Wrap-Up
This week will be the last that the students study the Earth, Moon, and Sun. We have thoroughly enjoyed seeing each child’s creativity shine as they have presented their Solar Vacation projects through videos, scrapbooks and posters. Thank you for your support in that project. We will begin a Social Studies/Language Arts unit on Money next week.
